| The Sundaram Finance - Mylapore

January 6 - 9, 2005 The Sundaram Finance - Mylapore Festival is an annual event which is held in the Mylapore area, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India as a celebration of the Indian heritage, tradition, lifestyle, art and culture. The festival was held for the first time in 2002 January on a small scale. The third edition was held from January 6 - 9, 2005. There was diverse activities and display - crafts, vintage coins, Tamil books, folk and classical arts, music, drama, cinema and food. The venues for all the events were the open spaces, street corners and the Mada Streets around the world famous Mylapore Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple. In the kolam contest, some 200 women from all over Chennai, displayed their designs. Fifteen prizes were given. Photographs of entries in the Kolam contest
