NCPA - Saz-e-Bahar: Festival of Indian instrumental music
The 11th edition of the two-day festival - four instrumentalists wielding instruments of different categories - drums-percussion (tabla), string-bowed (violin), air-blown (nadaswaram), and string-plucked (slide guitar).

NCPA - Sama’a: Festival of Sufi Music
Based on the mystical branch of Islam, Sufism preaches peace, tolerance, and pluralism. Music is regarded as a way of deepening one’s relationship with the Creator, and hence longing to dissolve the physical realm and transcend into the spiritual universe with Sama’a, the practice of listening to music, chanting, whirling, and finally culminating in spiritual ecstasy. Sufi music is practised in different regions of the world through an array of forms.

Padma Awards 2024
The Union government on Jan 25, 2024 released the list of winners of the Padma Awards 2024, conferred by the Govt of India, to recognize contributions in various fields. The list comprises 5 Padma Vibhushan, 17 Padma Bhushan and 110 Padma Shri Awards. 30 of the awardees are women. The list also includes 8 persons from the category of Foreigners / NRI / PIO / OCI and 9 Posthumous awardees.
