Amrit Yuva Kalotsav
As part of the celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Sangeet Natak
Akademi is organizing ‘Amrit Yuva Kalotsav’- a series of festivals
showcasing the young artists and the continuum of our myriad performing
art genres, traditions and expressions. The festival will also include a
workshop on Art Critique in which senior experts, art critics, and
scholars will participate and share their knowledge acquired through
their vast experience.

Bhakti in Indian Music Traditions - Seminar - Jan 21 & 22, 2023
International Foundation for Fine Arts in collaboration with National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA)
Since ancient times, aspect of bhakti has been the mainstay of Indian
culture and it is but natural that the element of devotion has its
reflection in almost all music traditions prevalent in India. Besides
bhakti sangeet, a genre which is completely identified with
devotion/dedication towards the Ultimate creator and/ the Guru, there
are myriad other traditions from folk and classical (art) to
semi-classical and light music showing a marked influence of bhakti
philosophy in varied measures.
Starting with the period around 1500 AD, this seminar aims to explore
different genres and forms of music to understand relevance of the
bhakti element. Besides academic deliberations by the experts on the
origin and history of different forms, there will be ample
demonstrations offered by reputed practitioners of respective genres.
Well-known artistes and scholars will deliberate on the origin, history
and practice of different genres and forms with ample demonstrations.

NCPA presents a free online workshop on FINANCIAL PLANNING FOR PERFORMING ARTISTES by Anjan Piprodia.
This workshop is essentially aimed at empowering the performing
artistes to take charge of their financial future. It will help
participants to plan financial goals and means to achieve the near term
and long terms objectives. The speaker will focus on the defined path to
achieve the goals, as attainment becomes a major challenge. The
presentation will also demonstrate the power of compounding and how a
disciplined approach can support investments and wealth creation along
with diversification and asset allocation.
Anjan Piprodia has vast experience in Wealth Management and Retail
Banking space. Currently, he is the Vice President, Funds and
Investments at the HSBC.

The New York Indian Film Festival is North America's oldest and most
prestigious film festival which features cinema from India, and the
Indian Diaspora.
Presented by the Indo-American Arts Council, Inc. NYIFF Celebrates
alternative, independent cinema from the global Indian community. The
festival is dedicated to providing filmmakers, actors,and industry
professionals a platform to showcase their work, as well as creating an
environment where filmmakers may exchange ideas with one another, and
interact with discerning and diverse audiences, journalists, and
aficionados.
