* Chitraangada
Chitraangada was the son of Shantanu and Satyavati. He had a brother by name Vichitraviryaa.
As the elder son, he was made king of Hastinapura by Bhishma, after
Shantanu's demise. He was a king of great valour (trained by Bhishma),
expanded the kingdom and ruled righteously. A Gandharva who was
also named Chitrangada was enraged that a mere mortal should also bear
his name. He challenged Chitrangada to a duel. After a fierce battle
lasting 3 years on the banks of the Hiranyavati river, Chitrangada was
slain by the Gandharva. Bhishma then crowned Vichitravirya the
king of Hastinapura.
* Chitrasena
Karna's sons were Vrishasena, Vrishaketu, Banasena, Chitrasena, Satyasena, Sushena, Shatrunjaya, Dvipata and Prasena.
* Chyavana
Son of Bhrigu Maharishi and Puloma.
